Jacky is literally a superwoman, I have no idea how she manages everything she does. She’s always there at times of stress and confusion with a cup of tea, a brownie and all the right answers. I don’t know how I would have managed this year without her. She is a veritable fountain of knowledge and is literally a walking mark scheme, as she has spent so long marking exam scripts, she knows exactly what to look for in the ideal answer. My exam technique has improved exponentially over the past year, as I have learned how to dissect and understand the questions to give the examiner what they want in the answer.

The skills she has taught me have helped in all of my subjects, and I’m sure that I will continue to use them throughout my life. Turning to Jacky for support after my AS results was the best decision I could have made, and I would not hesitate for a second before recommending her to anyone.

Jacky Morrison is an incredible teacher, without whom I would have been lost. She is full of enthusiasm and fun to work with which really helped me when I was feeling upset about my AS level results. Jacky brought my AS Biology from a C grade to an A grade and helped me to acquire an A grade in my overall Biology A-level. Her teaching methods are flawless, and she is extremely thorough and meticulous when going through the content of the syllabuses. She runs through the content with a fine tooth comb, and makes sure you thoroughly understand the information given, and don’t just use straight memory to regurgitate in an exam. It is this style of teaching that helped me to perform to the best of my ability and achieve an A in the exam. Her special exam technique sessions and summary sessions are absolutely fantastic and really highlight the key points in the whole unit and how to answer certain types of question. Jacky is extremely generous with her time, and has often gone over allotted time slots allocated to me and run sessions into her own free time to ensure I was fully comfortable and completely understood what we covered in the session. Her enthusiasm, motivation and teaching style is inspiring and I have never experienced a teacher like her. I have yet to come across another teacher like Jacky, that matches her motivation, enthusiasm and teaching skills; she really is one of a kind and I cannot recommend her enough.

II was tutored by Jacky for nearly the two full years of my biology A-level, without her I’m certain I would not have achieved the grade I got, and subsequently would not have gained my place at University. Jacky’s work ethic is not for the faint hearted and, although perhaps seeming tough or intense at some times, she always has your best interests at hearts. Obviously incredibly intelligent and proficient at what she does, she could answer any question whether on or off syllabus in terms of biology and chemistry. Her knowledge of my exam board AQA, made me feel massively ease when entering the final exams. As a family we thought so highly of Jacky that my younger brother has been with her for his GCSE year. Best tutor I’ve ever had.

There aren’t enough positive words that I could use to explain how great  a tutor Jacky is. Jacky has the ability to bring the subject to life, so that you fully understand every aspect of biology, and then never forget it!! Jacky was absolutely brilliant for me, helping me to achieve an A grade from my initial D grade, and apart from lots of hard work, it was all down to Jacky’s help.

From Mum (Bev Beavan):

I found Jacky by accident, when my daughter had not achieved what she thought she would at AS level.

We spent half an hour with her and she knew where the problems where.  We can’t look back.  Jacky is engaging and explains in a way that brings biology to life for her students.  My daughters grade rose from a D to an A, and I have to say, that it is because of Jacky’s teaching methods and interpersonal skill that brought it all together.

I can honestly say that Jacky is not only the reason I achieved an A* at A level, but is the reason I managed to stay sane throughout A levels as well as the reason for my University success’. Jacky went above and beyond to help me in anything I needed and was my practically my life coach. Her methods of revision have stuck with me throughout university and I still hear her voice in my head!

Jacky didn’t only teach what was needed for the exam but made us think beyond the curriculum and therefore taught us that reading around the subject helps solidify and understand the concepts we are required to learn. Her strategies will 100% work for you as long as you are prepared to put in the work; she is also filled with a million and one analogies and stories that not only made us understand but usually ended up with us crying with laughter. I still come to Jacky for help now and trust her opinions and judgement, as they are somehow ALWAYS right.

Turning to Jacky after a disappointing grade in Biology AS level was the best decision I could have made in my final year. I needed an A in Biology to study English Literature at my firm choice, and as an arts student I was struggling to keep up with the sciences. I couldn’t have anticipated the amount of time and effort she would put in, motivating and inspiring me to achieve my final A grade. An absolute saviour during the exam period, her inexhaustable knowledge and guidance, (complete with hilarious yet memorable analogies) are never more than a phone call away in times of past paper confusion! Where Jacky really comes into her own is strategy- her mark-scheme expertise is unmatched and she has perfected techniques, key words, and exam methods that can't fail to secure a top grade! Her meticulous revision tactics have helped across the board- without a doubt I owe my A*s in other subjects to her, always offering good advice and a chocolate brownies to keep me sane! Her guidance on results day was invaluable- she gave me the confidence to adjust up last-minute, and once again her judgement was right as I was accepted into a more prestigious university! I have so much to thank Jacky for- not only for saving my A-levels but for giving me valuable skills and strategies that I will continue use throughout my life!

Having achieved a D in AS Biology, I thought my chances of getting into Dentistry were gone. However with the help of the superhuman that is Jacky Morrison I went from a D in AS to an A in A2. There is no way that I would have been able to do that by myself. I really can’t thank Jacky enough for all the help she has given me with biology and with my Dentistry course. Oh did I forget to mention that I am now a dental student at Peninsula Dental School in Plymouth.

So thank you Jacky for everything you’ve done for me and I hope you’ll be able to help other aspiring dentists as much as you’ve helped me.

Having been told in 2012 September that AQA A-Level Biology was one of the hardest A-Levels to choose, the prospect of studying it for the next two years seemed very daunting. A friend of mine who’d been through the rollercoaster the previous year told me that the subject was made far easier for her through Jacky’s tuition, so I decided to give my best to the course and go to Jacky on a weekly basis. I could not have made a better decision! With her help I consistently scored A grades and have recently gone on to achieve an A* overall. Jacky’s style of teaching is incredibly effective and the comprehensive technique sessions conducted prior to the exams were extremely beneficial to me, as the mark schemes for this particular exam board can be exceptionally specific. Walkthroughs for each of the units that take place in groups of approximately 10 are very useful as you can bounce ideas off people studying the same course as you, and so learn a huge amount more. During my A2 year the weekly lessons consisted of two others as well as me, and sharing the lesson with them was equally as helpful as individual sessions, if not more. Jacky has helped me with my university application as well, and now my younger sister is going to her too! I highly recommend Jacky to anyone wanting to achieve as highly as possible in their Biology A-Level.

I first came to jacky a broken mess having been told i couldn't do single science at GCSE. Jacky assessed me and took on the challenge of tutoring me. Although petrified - after a few sessions she gave me the confidence to prove myself wrong. After countless brownies and cups of tea she has given me constant support and is there for me at the drop of a hat whether it be whatsapp message or a midnight Skype call after a major panic attack! Jacky has taught me so many things in life not just biology as she has changed the way i think and answer questions. My whole approach to learning has drastically improved I know longer panic under pressure. The skills i have obtained from jacky's sessions will hold me in good stead for university and future career. Turning to jacky for GCSE and A level biology was the best decision i have ever made.

Jacky Morrison is, as I would put it, 'the worlds best tutor'! She knows the entire specification in incredible detail, her wider knowledge is second to none, and she has a way of teaching that ensures the information sticks in your brain. Jacky also teaches you how to answer every question on the exam papers, which is just as important as having the biological knowledge. She also was an invaluable source of intelligence when it came to UCAS/applying for university.

Jacky really boosted my confidence and I would not have achieved my grade without her. I would recommend her to everyone and anyone. Thank you Jacky!!

After receiving unsatisfactory As level results 4 years ago, I sought Jacky’s help through a recommendation from a friend. My severe dyslexia made it difficult for me to articulate myself during school; her patience and passion really shone through when I couldn’t understand something. Jacky helped me via her meticulously extensive teaching methods. At the end of my final year of 6th form, I could tell you the exact page of any biological question in the syllabus. My knowledge of biology was all-encompassing!

After 6th form, Jacky helped me write my personal statement for undergraduate entry. Considering Jacky has spent part of her career professionally writing CV’s, I wasn’t surprised that I got offers from all 5 of my university choices. This was the moment in time when I realised I had one thing that no other student had, a Jacky Morrison.

I continually seek the help of Jacky to this day, 4 years after I first met her. At the end of my undergraduate degree, I am weeks away from achieving a 1st class degree. With the help of Jacky, I have had contract offers from some of the biggest firms in the world. I’ve been accepted into a post-graduate university ranked in the top 20 global universities and I’ve had correspondence with working for the government’s intelligence service (MI6) after my studies. Every single application was over looked by Jacky before submission. I have never completed an application with Jacky without getting to interview stage.

I was lucky to receive the help of Jacky as I know she was and ‘STILL’ is, astronomically busy. Jacky is quite possibly, the best tutor I have ever had the pleasure learning from. I sincerely recommend her services.

Jacky, is one of a kind, an inspirational teacher, covered a whole GCSE course in less than a year and then offered great help for my exam technique- I can only offer unreserved praise.
